How to Choose the Right Laptop for Gaming

Gaming laptop specs can look overwhelming at first, but only a handful of numbers actually matter for day-to-day performance.

GPU first, always

The graphics card is the single biggest factor in gaming performance. A stronger GPU with less RAM will usually outperform a weaker GPU with more RAM.

16GB RAM is the sweet spot

8GB is workable but will feel tight with modern games and background apps open; 16GB is comfortable for most people, and 32GB is really only needed for heavy multitasking or streaming while you play.

Storage: go NVMe if you can

Faster storage means faster load times, full stop. Our IronCore Gaming Laptop and UrbanCraft Pro Laptop both let you configure RAM, GPU and storage independently, so you only pay for what you'll actually use.
